At Shares London HQ, we brought 25 of our early adopters and investing superstars together for our very first community event.
After a crazy couple of years…thanks COVID…it was refreshing to do an in-person event, enjoy some drinks and give everyone a sneak peek of the future at Shares!
With co-founders Ben Chemla and Harjas Singh in full flow, we laid out our expansion plans and new features that really showed our desire to be the world’s most forward thinking social investing app.

How do we think about community at Shares?
When I think about building community at Shares, my absolute north star is how we can help anyone from any background feel like they belong in the world of investing.
Many people want to invest but don't know where to begin. With high inflation and low interest rates, it is essential to start investing now rather than later.
We’ll provide content and information, top-level support through educational programs, and create on and offline opportunities that give people a place to hang-out in and meet other people who also want to see their portfolio stock charts go ‘up and to the right.’
If we do our job well, then everyone who takes part in our community will benefit from the whole group raising their knowledge, investing game and hopefully financial future at the same time.
With what we have planned, it’s also going to be a lot of fun too!
What’s coming next to?
Our Shares community mission is ‘to educate, to inform, to entertain’ and I can guarantee our upcoming events program is one that won’t miss the target.
We have monthly virtual AMA’s with our co-founders coming your way from mid-May, and keep an eye out for some very special community events coming on and offline very soon so watch this space (and our soon to be launching newsletter).
