Dates

This competition begins on 27 March 2023 at 5pm BST and ends on 3 April 2023 at 11:59pm. No further entries will be considered once this deadline has passed.

Who May Enter

This competition is open to UK residents, aged 18 years or over, who are users of the Shares app; except for employees of Shares and their close relatives (parent, child, sibling or spouse of any of the foregoing) and anyone otherwise connected with the organization or judging of the competition.

How to Enter: Eligible Entrants (“Entrants”) must:

• Have downloaded the Shares app (download is available at no cost)
• Have been through the full onboarding process on the Shares app and have read and accepted Shares T&Cs
• Have at least one (1) bank account connected to the Shares app, in order for Shares to pay prize money if entrant is a winner of the prize
• Have an public Instagram Account or create one for no cost (www.instagram.com). Entrants must agree to Instagram’s Terms of Service in order to create an account and in order to participate in this competition
• Must be following Shares on Instagram (www.instagram.com/shares.io) 
• Entrants must share a screenshot of their Shares portfolio to their Instagram Stories and tag @shares.io to enter the draw. Entry to the competition is triggered by navigating to the portfolio page in the Shares app, screenshotting the portfolio and publishing to Instagram whilst tagging @shares.io. Completion occurs when the Entrant shares the portfolio screenshot to their Instagram and tags @shares.io for a chance to win £500. Social media for purposes of this competition is defined as Instagram Stories.
• Upon completion as stated above, the Entrant is automatically entered into the draw to win the Grand Prize of £500.

Notification

• Shares will notify the winner by direct message (“DM”) on Instagram by 5pm on 4 April. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 24 hours of DM, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

Payment of Prize Money:

• The winner will receive a £500 lump sum cash payment to invest on Shares. This payment will be transferred to the Winner’s Shares account by 5pm on 5 April
• The £500 prize will be non-withdrawable for 30 days from the date of transfer to the winner’s Shares account

Miscellaneous

• There are no limits on how many times an Entrant may enter and share their portfolio to social media, however the Entrant will only be entered once into the draw. 
• Winners are selected at random by software, from all entries received and verified by Shares and or its agents.
• Users who share on social media outside of Instagram Stories will not be entered into the competition
• Similarly, users who share on social media as defined herein but do not tag Shares as directed herein are also ineligible for entry into this competition.
• Shares accepts no responsibility for entries not received, nor for incomplete entries. Shares is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
• Shares reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition without notice. Any changes to the competition will be notified to Entrants as soon as possible by Shares.
• Shares’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding such decision(s).
• The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice. Except as specifically provided herein, all applicable taxes and usage charges on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
• This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram or any other Social Network or form of social media. You are providing your information to Shares and not to any other party.
• No entry may contain any offensive or vulgar content or depict any pornographic or illegal act. Any entry containing inappropriate content, as determined by Shares in its sole and absolute discretion, will be considered ineligible and will not be part of the competition. By submitting an Entry, each Entrant agrees his or her Entry complies with these Official Rules. Each Entrant also agrees that Shares may disqualify the Entrant from the competition if Shares believes, in its sole and absolute discretion, that an Entry fails to comply with these Official Rules. If Shares rejects any entry, such Entry will be disqualified and will not be considered a valid entry.
• By participating in this competition, each Entrant agrees to release and hold Shares and its respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, representatives, agents and employees, from any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with, either directly or indirectly from: 1) the awarding, acceptance, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of any prize awarded herein; or 2) participation in the competition or any prize related activities.

Privacy

By accepting a prize, the winner consents to Shares's use of their name and image in any publicity material for legitimate business purposes, which may include advertising and promotional activities, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
